Words Left Unspoken

There i was sitting next to the window,

Watching the dark sky turning yellow,

Trying to recount, the numerous times,

Those unspoken words crossed my mind.

Words I held back for so long,

Words I just failed to say,

Words which flowed with me all through,

But left just before i touched the bay.

Words which said I missed You,

But failed to express how,

And when silence prevailed all over,

They kept ringing in heart quite loud.

I saw summer passing by,

Tans fading, highlights getting dark,

But those unsaid words kept 

Haunting every minute of arc.

The words were as complex as I Love,

And as simple as I Cared,

But so afraid to loose you,

I guess I didn't Dared.

As I see sand moving down the hourglass,

I reflect back and wonder,

How different would this life be,

If only those words weren't left unspoken.
